Lightning Cable - definition
A reversible 8-pin data cable that is used in Apple devices is known as a lightning cable. A lightning cable can be used for data sync or power transfer (charging) applications. Back in 2012, Apple Inc. introduced a lightning port and jack in their iPhone 5 smartphone device. Before that, Apple used to provide a 30-pin doc connector in their devices such as iPod or iPhone 4S. Apart from Apple, other brands also manufacture lightning cables, but you should always look for the quality product, otherwise, the device won’t recognize or be compatible with the quality and won’t work at all. Better to use a genuine product made by Apple, also Apple recommends Anker cable as well for a better experience.
